New Valve Saves Space and Power in Miniature Portable Applications

HOLLIS, NH, July 25, 2006 — Parker Hannifin announces the release of the HFPro, a high flow proportional valve and the latest addition to Parker’s highly successful family of MDPro proportional valves. Using the same small 15mm x 15mm x 45mm body as the MDPro, the HFPro offers flow up
to ~ 45 lpm at 25 psi, a 20 lpm increase over the next smaller orifice in the product line. This increased flow capability enables a single valve to be used where two were previously required, saving precious space and power consumption, important for today’s light weight portable medical and analytical instruments. This valve is ideally suited for respiratory therapy medical devices and higher flow gas control applications.
The HFPro features both 5mm ID barbed and face seal manifold bodies and three standard control voltage ranges (0-5, 0-12 & -24 VDC). It also consumes less than 3 watts while continuously regulating full flow at maximum ambient temperatures of 50 degrees Celsius. Additional features include wire leaded electrical termination, an FKM elastomer, and a 35 million life cycle rating.
