Medical lighting specialists Brandon Medical are pleased to announce the launch of a new range of medical room lighting – the Amadea. Four different bulbs are mounted in each Amadea unit which interact to produce four different lighting effects – examination, reading, general and night-lighting.
This reduces the amount of lights (and corresponding wiring) which you need in each patient room or ward – making the Amadea extremely good value.
Amadea is the only medical room light which has been successfully tested to IEC60601 standards. This means it can be safely used to conduct medical examinations and diagnosis.
The Amadea is also compatible with recent DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) technological developments. DALI allows for 2-way communications between the lights and a controller, much like a traditional computer network. The light ballasts mounted in an Amadea are clever enough to communicate over this network and can alert the server of any problems such as bulbs failing or poor performance. The network can also be used to create lighting “scenes” in rooms and wards, with every light interacting to produce the desired lighting effect.
Amadea is an extremely high performance light yet its high efficiency results in low power consumption. It uses the latest energy saving technology to create savings of up to 80% when compared to standard lighting systems.
