A circular economy in healthcare

Dear Sir or Madam,

We only have this one planet and therefore we should manage the available resources in a smarter way to protect the environment and the climate. However, the consumption of resources in the healthcare sector in particular is enormous. There are various reasons for this. Nevertheless, it is time to do something about it. The German funding initiative "CirculAid" wants to promote projects with this goal. Find out more in our interview "CirculAid: funding for a circular economy in healthcare".

The health care system and its activities consume a lot of resources. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the existing problem due to the increased need for hygiene and protective equipment. Urgent action is needed to protect the environment and combat climate change by reducing consumption and improving resource efficiency. The Funding Initiative "CirculAid" aims to fund projects that pursue this goal.
