Gentell Receives Member of the Year Award from World Trade Centers of Philadelphia
Now in its 23rd year, the World Trade Centers of Philadelphia Award Celebration recognizes the remarkable achievements of exceptional individuals and organizations who make Greater Philadelphia a global business hub. Each year, World Trade Centers around the world come together to honor a shared mission of peace and prosperity through international trade.
In his remarks, Gentell President & CEO David Navazio stated:
"If someone had told me in 1994 - when I started Gentell - that the company would be acknowledged as a global leader in healthcare, I would have told them they were crazy.
Today I stand before you as the head of a company with close to 1000 employees on five continents. Now unless you work in healthcare, and more specifically wound care, you probably don’t know the name Gentell, but I am proud to say that we make a difference in the quality of life of countless people around the world.
As a Philadelphia native, it really is an honor to accept this award that not only acknowledges Gentell’s work but also the role we play in representing Philadelphia on the world stage.
The Philadelphia area has given me so much, it is where I was born and raised, where I currently live, and where Gentell’s global corporate headquarters is located. As I travel around the world - which I do regularly - I always speak of what an amazing place this is to live, work and raise a family.
Of course no executive works in a vacuum. I want to acknowledge the members of the Gentell leadership team that are here with me tonight and all of the employees around the world who contribute to our mission of making it better, every day."
