Busan National University Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with two Kazakhstani national medical institutions for continued cooperation in the healthcare sector.
The signing ceremony (pictured) was held on the 13th and 17th at the National Research Cancer Center in Astana, Kazakhstan and the National Medical University Hospital in Almaty, Kazakhstan, respectively. The hospitals agreed to establish a mutual cooperation system in areas such as education and training of medical staff, consultation and referral for local patients, and support for joint research and academic activities.
With this agreement, Busan National University Hospital is expected to contribute to Kazakhstan's healthcare system based on convergence science and technology that combines medicine and basic science. In addition, it plans to explore ways to develop medicine in both countries through continuous medical exchanges between institutions.
Meanwhile, Busan National University Hospital is conducting an ‘AI-based capsule endoscopy remote interpretation system’ project with regional hospitals in Astana and Almaty through the ‘2022 ICT-based medical system overseas expansion pilot project’ hosted by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) in cooperation with Captos (Seoreu Co., Ltd.)
