MEDICA MAIN STAGE: The main stage for the major issues of the future
06.08.2026
With the new MEDICA MAIN STAGE, MEDICA now has, for the first time, a central stage dedicated to the major issues of the future facing the healthcare sector. High-profile key opinion leaders from the fields of medicine, science, industry and politics will provide insight, right at the heart of the exhibition (in Hall 12), into the developments that will have a particularly significant impact on markets and healthcare provision in the future.
Among the first confirmed highlights are a panel discussion on resilient healthcare systems featuring Prof. Dr Leif Erik Sander (Charité), Dr Shachar Shapira (Sheba Medical Centre) and Dr Thomas Frandsen (Rigshospitalet – Copenhagen University Hospital), a presentation by Prof. David Matusiewicz (FOM University of Applied Sciences) on the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, and a discussion with Prof. Uwe Nixdorff (European Prevention Centre) and Prof. Mathias Goyen (GE Healthcare) on the future of precision medicine.
Of the total of around 800 speakers at MEDICA 2026, 50 are featured on the new Main Stage programme alone.
