Getting to MEDICA 2026 will be even easier: Since they began operating on 4 September, the new light rail lines U80 and U81 have been improving connections between Düsseldorf Airport, the exhibition centre, the city centre and the main railway station.
During the exhibition period, the U81 will take passengers directly from the airport terminal to the ‘MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA/Messe Nord’ stop at the North Entrance in just seven minutes. The U80 will connect the airport to ‘Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße’, the city centre and the main railway station during regular service. The existing bus route 896 between the airport and the exhibition centre will be discontinued.
The ticket for MEDICA and COMPAMED is not valid as a travel ticket for buses and trains. A separate public transport ticket is required. Travelling via eezy.nrw in the Rheinbahn app is particularly straightforward: check in, travel, check out – no prior knowledge of fares required.
