BVMed – Bundesverband Medizintechnologie e. V. represents the interests of the medical technology and medical devices industry in Germany. As the voice of the industry, the association advocates for innovative healthcare solutions, reliable regulatory frameworks, and a strong healthcare system. As a partner of MEDICA, we bring together the perspectives and expertise of the medical technology industry—to foster a strong healthcare sector and modern patient care.

The Federal Association for Hygiene and Hospital Cleaning (BHUK) e. V. was founded in 2020 by experts, practitioners and interest groups, and operates as a non-profit association based in Dernbach. The aim of BHUK e. V. is to create a platform for professional exchange and for the development of practical, transparent recommendations and guidelines on hygiene-related topics. The focus is on hygiene, infection control and hospital cleaning as key components of safe and quality-oriented care in the healthcare sector. Through specialist events, support for research projects and collaboration on publications, the BHUK e. V. promotes interdisciplinary cooperation between academia, practitioners and relevant stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

SPECTARIS is the German industry association for optics, photonics, analytical and medical technology. In the field of medical technology, the SPECTARIS Medical Technology Association represents around 130 predominantly small and medium-sized manufacturers and suppliers, as well as providers of medical aids and home care services. The spectrum ranges from surgical instruments and implants, through ophthalmic devices and medical care systems, to medical aids and digital health applications. SPECTARIS is committed to fostering an innovation-friendly environment and strengthening Germany’s position as a centre for medical technology.

The European Innovation Council (EIC) is Europe’s flagship innovation programme to identify, develop and scale up breakthrough tech innovations. With a budget of €10.1 billion the EIC supports innovation across the entire lifecycle: from early-stage research to proof of concept, technology transfer, and scaling up of startups and small companies. Financial support can be provided in the form of grants, equity, or a combination of both. But EIC support goes beyond funding: it aims to accelerate innovations for scale up and commercialisation, by providing access to a range of tailor-made EIC Business Acceleration Services to researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs.

The German Society for Disaster Medicine (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Katastrophenmedizin e. V.) is a scientific professional association. We contribute our knowledge and experience in a variety of advisory capacities with the aim of sustainably improving the effectiveness of preparedness for and response to incidents of exceptional scale or nature. We work in an interdisciplinary, interprofessional and respectful manner, and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders in civil protection.

Prof. Dr. Mathias Goyen, MD

Prof. Dr Mathias Goyen is a professor of radiology and has held international leadership roles in the medical technology sector for many years.

As a doctor, scientist and medtech expert, he focuses in particular on the impact of artificial intelligence, digitalisation and data-driven innovations on healthcare. He is particularly interested in how new technologies can help to improve the quality of medical care and expand access to modern healthcare worldwide.

Dr. Torsten Niederdränk

As a consultant, Torsten Niederdränk now advises medical technology companies on new technologies.

Previously, he held various management roles within the Siemens Group, culminating in his role as Head of Strategy at Siemens Healthineers and Head of the overarching technology and innovation units.

Prof. David Matusiewicz

David Matusiewicz is Professor of Healthcare Management at FOM University of Applied Sciences and Dean of Health and Social Sciences. He heads the ifgs research institute and is co-founder of the CIBE Centre for Innovation, Business Development & Entrepreneurship.

As a business angel, he invests in technology-focused start-ups through his DXM Group (family office). He is also a consultant and a member of the supervisory board of numerous digital companies. Matusiewicz is one of the best-known figures in the field of digital health in Germany – as a keynote speaker, presenter, editor, columnist and author.

Zeynep Timur

Zeynep Timur is Head of the Consulting, Operational Organisation, Medical Technology and Digitalisation Division at Sana Klinik Service GmbH. With over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, she combines strategic consultancy with operational implementation and supports healthcare organisations in the transformation of clinical processes.

Her focus lies at the interface between medical technology, digitalisation and hospital management. She advises hospitals and healthcare organisations on topics such as process optimisation, medical technology management, digitalisation, AI applications, operational organisation and the development of sustainable care structures.

As a leader, she advocates a modern, practical management style that combines innovation with practicality. Her approach is not to view new technologies in isolation, but to focus on their concrete benefits for patient care, staff and economic sustainability.

At MEDICA, Zeynep Timur will share her expertise on the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation in the healthcare sector, as well as on the successful implementation of innovative solutions in everyday hospital practice.

Prof. Dr. Jochen A. Werner

Prof. Dr. Jochen A. Werner is a physician, university professor, and entrepreneur, as well as a thought leader for medicine that is both digital and human. Following leadership roles in Marburg, he shaped the development of the "Smart, Green & Human Hospital" as CEO of University Medicine Essen. He founded the *Institut Mensch & Medizin der Zukunft* and combines technological innovation with a clear focus on responsible, patient-centered medicine.

As a member of the Leopoldina, CEO of the 10xD consultancy, and a sought-after keynote speaker, he champions the transformation toward healthcare that is empathetic, preventive, and future-oriented.
