DGKM e.V. | German Society for Disaster Medicine e.V.

The German Society for Disaster Medicine (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Katastrophenmedizin e. V.) is a scientific professional association. We contribute our knowledge and experience in a variety of advisory capacities with the aim of sustainably improving the effectiveness of preparedness for and response to incidents of exceptional scale or nature. We work in an interdisciplinary, interprofessional and respectful manner, and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders in civil protection.

BHUK | Federal Association for Hygiene and Hospital Cleaning (e.V.)

The Federal Association for Hygiene and Hospital Cleaning (BHUK) was founded in October 2020 by a committee comprising experts, practitioners and interest groups. BHUK e.V. is registered in the Register of Associations at Montabaur Local Court under the following registration number: VR 21538, and operates as a non-profit organisation. Our headquarters are located in Dernbach (Westerwald district).

Our aim is to create a platform for the exchange of ideas and the development of standardised, practical and transparent recommendations and guidelines on hygiene-related topics.

By organising specialist events, supporting research projects and contributing to scientific publications, we aim to promote interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration between

hygiene specialists, microbiologists, infectious disease specialists, epidemiologists, scientists and other practitioners.

In addition, we cater to all interested parties, stakeholders and those affected within the healthcare sector who are engaged with these issues.

Prof. Dr. Mathias Goyen, MD

Prof. Dr Mathias Goyen is a professor of radiology and has held international leadership roles in the medical technology sector for many years. As a doctor, scientist and medtech expert, he focuses in particular on the impact of artificial intelligence, digitalisation and data-driven innovations on healthcare. He is particularly interested in how new technologies can help to improve the quality of medical care and expand access to modern healthcare worldwide.

Dr Torsten Niederdränk

As a consultant, Torsten Niederdränk now advises medical technology companies on new technologies.

Previously, he held various management roles within the Siemens Group, culminating in his role as Head of Strategy at Siemens Healthineers and Head of the overarching technology and innovation units.

Prof. David Matusiewicz

David Matusiewicz is Professor of Healthcare Management at FOM University of Applied Sciences and Dean of Health and Social Sciences. He heads the ifgs research institute and is co-founder of the CIBE Centre for Innovation, Business Development & Entrepreneurship. As a business angel, he invests in technology-focused start-ups through his DXM Group (family office). He is also a consultant and a member of the supervisory board of numerous digital companies. Matusiewicz is one of the best-known figures in the field of digital health in Germany – as a keynote speaker, presenter, editor, columnist and author.
