The finals of the 12th Healthcare Innovation World Cup will take place at MEDICA 2020. The Innovation World Cup® series is the world's largest open innovation platform, connecting techpreneurs with international companies. Start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs pitch their Internet of Medical Things solutions live at MEDICA - from wearable technologies to digital biomarkers and intelligent patches to smart implants. The aim of the competition is to promote breakthrough innovations, to make them visible to the world, and to connect innovators with decision-makers in the healthcare industry, potential partners, investors and customers.

Conditions of participation
Internet of Medical Things solutions (e.g. wearable technologies, digital biomarkers, intelligent patches, smart implants, etc.) are permitted.
Market entry no later than Q3 2021

All submissions to the Healthcare Innovation World Cup will be evaluated by the international jury according to the following criteria: degree of innovation, commercial potential, technological feasibility, marketing approach, time to market, required investment.
Conformity with the "Medical Device Directive" or an "FDA Approval" is not required.
Pitch and award ceremony
The jury will select 12 finalists who will pitch their solutions to an audience of international healthcare industry experts, potential partners, investors and customers live on stage at the MEDICA CONNECTED HEALTHCARE FORUM on Monday 16 November 2020.
All participants become part of the leading innovation ecosystem and receive valuable business connections, free marketing packages, extensive media coverage on a global level and support from international tech experts in business development.
The 12th Healthcare Innovation World Cup is part of the 12th IoT / WT Innovation World Cup with prizes worth more than 500,000 USD including free development kits and 10,000 Euro in cash (best European IoT start-up).
