Some patients need continued inpatient or outpatient care after they have been officially discharged from the hospital after treatment. Finding an acceptable discharge placement to ensure continuity of care is a very time-consuming process for hospitals. A team of young entrepreneurs from Nuremberg, Germany, has created a solution to this problem with its "CareNext" platform, which it will showcase at MEDICA 2021 in the MEDICA START-UP PARK.

Active Ageing at MEDICA MEDICINE + SPORTS CONFERENCE

The second day of the MEDICA MEDICINE + SPORTS CONFERENCE starts with the session "Fit for life...". On the agenda are individualized training programs for "Active Ageing" and older people. Prof. Dr. Bettina Wollesen will present training interventions to promote cognitive performance, followed by Timo Hinrichs, MD, who will show the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle for older people, and Thomas Sanjay Weber-Spickschen, MD, responsible for track and field athletes at the Olympic Games, who will show which exercise programs are suitable for prevention and therapy. At the end of the 4th session, Christian Schneider, MD, and Thore Haag, MD, will show which exercises are essential for healthy aging.
