UK healthcare companies are travelling to Germany this month to exhibit at MEDICA 2010 – the largest healthcare exhibition in the world – in a bid to strengthen their export links globally and sell their products into new markets around the world.
With a wealth of healthcare research, development and innovation, the UK is home to some of the world’s most distinguished scientists and innovators and many of these innovations will be on show at the international exhibition.
Held in Düsseldorf, Germany, MEDICA is the leading event for healthcare professionals and attracts over 137,000 trade visitors. Each year the Yorkshire Pavilion at the show is run by Medilink Yorkshire & Humber (Y&H) – the organisation dedicated to the growth of the Healthcare Technologies sector on behalf of UKTI Yorkshire and Regional Development Agency Yorkshire Forward.
Charlotte Fraser, International Manager at Medilink Y&H, Regional Sector specialist for UKTI Yorkshire, said: “MEDICA is a fantastic platform for innovation so it is great to see so many regional companies exhibiting their world leading products at the exhibition. Medilink supports the growth of the sector and by supporting Yorkshire companies at major international shows like MEDICA helps ensure the world’s healthcare sector is talking about Yorkshire’s innovation.”
