From Autumn 2010 onwards, Miele will for the first time be offering a comprehensive system to ensure safe and efficient processes in medical surgeries: System4Med, to be officially launched at Medica 2010, covers all aspects of the modern instrument reprocessing cycle and is based on decades of experience and expertise on the part of Miele, the market leader in its field. Existing thermal disinfectors, proven in practice, are to be complemented by a B-class steriliser. New, intelligent software solutions also facilitate the gap-free capture of process data. And nationwide service guarantees prompt assistance in proverbial Miele style and quality.
The new B-class steriliser, the PS 1202 B, guarantees very short cycle times, thanks to the use of patented technology. With cycle times as short as 21 minutes including drying for up to 6 kg of wrapped instruments, this new market contender guarantees process efficiency in medical surgeries. This product features a 20-litre chamber and can be installed on a worktop with a minimum depth of 50 cm. The steriliser also boasts an integrated reverse osmosis unit to provide a supply of demineralised water, making the unit simple to install and easy to connect to utilities. It features three sterilisation programmes (121°C, 134°C and a prions programme at 134°C) as well as programmes for vacuum and Helix tests.
Thermal disinfectors at Miele are available in a range of sizes as space-saving undercounter models. They offer ample space for the entire range of instruments from medical practices on two wash levels. A comprehensive range of baskets and inserts ensures that instruments are properly accommodated and secured during reprocessing.
To document processes in the thermal disinfector and the small steam steriliser, Miele now even offers its own software: SegoSoft Miele Edition enables tamper-proof data archiving in the form of digitally signed PDF files for long-term paperless archiving. SegoLabel Miele Edition is software to manage label printing for sterile supplies.
And to round off the entire package, Miele Service provides comprehensive advice on machines and processes up front and offers a wide range of service contracts and financing options. Pre-sales advice is matched after the sale by a tight-knit network of Miele service points. Speed is of the essence: In the event of a fault on a steriliser, a Miele technician is on site in less than 24 hours. Repairs, maintenance and validation is performed exclusively by Miele's specially trained in-house team of technicians.
Cleaning, disinfection, sterilisation, documentation and service: For the first time, Miele is offering a comprehensive system for safe and efficient processes in medical surgeries.
