Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS) - a developer and manufacturer of world -leading advanced wound care and wound closure products - will be showcasing their innovative wound care dressing range and also promoting their advanced, cyanoacrylate based, wound closure technology portfolio at MEDICA 2008.

A strong research and development capability ensures AMS remain at the forefront of advanced wound care technology; their range consists of film, foam, hydrocolloid, hydrogel and alginate materials.

AMS also provides anti-microbial silver technologies that are effective against MRSA and VRE, whilst also maintaining a moist wound healing environment that helps speed up the healing process, compared to using other traditional methods.

AMS also manufactures and supplies market leading cyanoacrylate skin adhesives for the closure of wounds following trauma or surgical incisions. The recent addition of LiquiBand® Optima ensures that AMS stays at the forefront of skin adhesive innovation. LiquiBand® Optima is a pre-assembled skin adhesive device that can be used straight from the pack.

The unique winged actuator provides an easy ‘click-and-use’ functionality and precision control. LiquiBand® Optima thus assists the clinician in performing quicker, safer and more precise wound closure that helps to achieve excellent cosmetic results. The Octyl-BlendTM of cyanoacrylate technology used within LiquiBand® Optima also enables the product to be stored at ambient temperature safely.

AMS’ products are sold into hospitals, nursing homes and community care markets worldwide through branded partners and private label distributors.

MEDICA, the largest healthcare technologies trade fair in the world, is taking place from 19th – 22nd November at the Messe Düsseldorf in Germany.
