Resposable instrumentation offers surgeons high quality, cost effective solutions

UK based Surgical Innovations will be at MEDICA 2010 to raise the profile of their pioneering Resposable™ instrumentation – which combines both disposable and reusable components - a concept which is saving hospitals around the world thousands of pounds each year.

Using Resposable™ devices means that surgeons can benefit from the optimum performance of a disposable instrument, with the cost effectiveness of a reusable; a solution that is satisfying both surgeons and procurement managers around the world.

This cost saving is being achieved through the introduction of reusable components into laparoscopic instrumentation; a device market which is usually dominated by expensive ‘throw away’ parts.
Among the products that Surgical Innovations will showcase at MEDICA will be their award winning YelloPort+plus™ - a Resposable laparoscopic port system which gives access into the body allowing surgeons to carry out delicate keyhole procedures.
The device was recently honoured by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II for its technical and clinical excellence and the impact it has had on surgeons and patients around the world.
Also on display will be the Logi™Range, of hand instruments which combine reusable ergonomic handles - to ensure surgeons have accurate tactile feel and control - combined with single use scissors and jaws for excellent performance and infection control.
All the products have been designed specifically to empower surgeons in laparoscopic procedures and provide patients with an improved quality of life.
Graham Bowland, Chief Executive Officer at Surgical Innovations, said: “MEDICA is a platform for innovation and we are pleased to be able to showcase our pioneering Resposable® instruments at the show.”
“MEDICA is an exciting exhibition for Surgical Innovations as it allows us to meet with both current and potential worldwide distributors and offers the perfect platform for us to provide updates on our new technologies and products.”

MEDICA 2010 will take place between 17 – 20th November 2010 at the Messe Düsseldorf, Germany and at the show Surgical Innovations will be located on the UK Pavilion in hall 16, stand G10.
