Jamie Fisher, who is originally from Leeds, returns to the city to join Pland Stainless from his position as National Sales Manager for Methven UK, and will now play a key role in helping drive the company’s ambitious growth plans.
Pland Stainless has been an independent UK manufacturer since 1919, producing quality stainless steel products for the healthcare sector including working with contractors on projects such as Royal Derby Hospital and Peterborough City Hospital.
Working closely with the owners of the business, Steve Duree (Managing Director) and Ian Hodgson (Operations Director), Jamie's role will be pivotal in the development of new and existing business both in the UK and export, with a focus on the healthcare market.
Jamie brings a wealth of experience to Pland, having managed sales teams across a range of sectors and developed growth and profitability across accounts including key roles with merchant brand leaders Bostik and Twyford Bathrooms.
The company, which places heavy emphasis on its ecological responsibilities, has been manufacturing its products from its base in Leeds since it was founded almost 100 years ago and now has a workforce of 60.
Jamie said: “Pland Stainless is extremely well respected in the industry, and that’s been built through a substantial portfolio of quality products over almost 100 years, so I’m really looking forward to joining such a reputable company.
“Even with Pland’s established position in the sector, the Directors are hugely ambitious and recognise that the company has fantastic potential to grow - and I’m now looking forward to contributing to that growth, especially in the healthcare sector.”
Ian Hodgson, Operations Director at Pland Stainless, said: “Jamie has fantastic experience in this industry and joins the company at a really exciting time.
“The company is performing extremely well and we’re now looking to grow our operation. Jamie will play a key role in the development of Pland Stainless and it’s great to have him on board.”
