November 17, 2009 - Omron Healthcare Co., Ltd. (Kyoto, Japan, Representative Director and CEO: Yoshihito Yamada) today announced that it will launch a blood pressure monitor, and body composition monitor with embedded Bluetooth, compatible with the Continua standard in spring of 2010 worldwide.
Continua Health Alliance, an open industry coalition led by Intel Corporation Group, has established the Continua standard last year to standardize the connection compatibility between healthcare devices and digital devices to further promote personal health management. Omron Healthcare will develop and launch a blood pressure monitor and body composition monitor with built-in Bluetooth compatible with the Continua standard in Japan, Europe, and the U.S. Omron Healthcare will also provide global technical support system for health service providers to easily connect numbers of devices and effectively utilize the package to meet their business needs.
