Starting now, the legendary ACL medical displays are being supplemented with two new models with DICOM tone-value curves preset at the factory. That makes these displays the best choice for ward physicians to observe digital radiological images for preparing patient referral. This finally closes the gap to the findings workstation.
You not only have the normal modes for office applications at the touch of a button. You can also call up preset modes for DICOM with clear film (DICOM CL), DICOM blue film (DICOM BL) and sRGB. Both displays have a built-in sensor to guarantee reliable display quality with constant luminance. The MD-19D has a visible 19" diagonal (48 cm) featuring a resolution of 1.3 megapixels (1,280 x 1,024 pixels) at a maximum brightness of 280 cd/m². The larger MD-21D model is a 21.3" (54 cm) monitor with 2 megapixels (1,600 x 1,200 pixels) at a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m². Both monitors achieve maximum contrast of 1,000:1 along with horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 178°/178°.
These monitors are specially engineered for use in operating theatres and at the intensive-care ward. You can easily disinfect the totally self-contained metal housing by wiping. It can also be set up in the patient environment due to its DIN EN 60601-1, 60601-1-1 and DIN EN 60601-1-2 conformity. You can connect it up with a DVI-D and D-SUB input (VGA), allowing two simultaneous signal sources. You can get more information under www.oppc.de and both MD-19D and MD-21D models will be available starting in December of 2006.
