Mediboard Wins Middle East Health And Innovation Award

Medibord™ returned from the Arab Health Conference and Exhibition in Dubai as proud recipients of a prestigious Middle East Export Award presented by Lord Darzi.

Prior to attending a Healthcare Reception at the Consul Generals Residence in Dubai with guests including Lord Darzi and the Minister of Health for the UAE, Jonathan Richards CEO of Medibord™ (based at BioCity in Nottingham) stated:

“For such a new business it is a great honour to be acknowledged for our innovative range of products. We are delighted to receive such a prestigious award”.

Innovative MRI translucent, non-conductive Medibord™ has been acknowledged by the highly esteemed Middle East Hospital award panel as the most innovative product for export in the Diagnostic Category.

Medibord™ is taking strides towards ascension in the radiology and radiotherapy market and has the capacity to markedly diversify the MRI/CT scanner accessory product field.

The Middle East Health awards are mainly product based, with a subdivision for new and innovative technologies that have the potential to make a big impact on healthcare in the region. As a cost-effective alternative to carbon fibre positioning boards and couch tops, the flat Medibords’ unique transparency and resultant compatibility for MRI, CT and LINAC equipment proves it has what it takes to support the increasing global demand for improved diagnostic materials.

Medibord™ were proud to accept the award at Middle East Hospital magazine (MEH)’s inaugural Health and Innovation Awards during a ceremony that took place at Arab Health 2010 in Dubai. The awards, for suppliers of medical equipment to the Middle East region were presented by renowned surgeon and UK Government healthcare ambassador Lord Darzi.

Mike Tanousis the publisher of Middle East Hospital stated:
‘The award to Medibord™ is richly deserved, a unique and innovative application, that will generate serious interest in the Middle East who already acknowledge the UK as a world leader in innovation and quality. It is a fantastic achievement especially when you consider that this is the first time ever that Medibord™ have entered into the highly lucrative Arab Health market worth over US $ 100 Billion.’

Lord Darzi commented that the awards reflect a fantastic achievement in the Arab Health market and reflects the vibrancy diversity and strength of British products spearheading innovation worldwide.
