Management changes at TRUMPF Medical Systems

Harald Völker

Ditzingen/ Puchheim (Germany) September 30, 2010 - Harald Völker, Head of the TRUMPF Group’s Medical Technology Division, will be taking charge of the sales/service and finance/controlling areas within the management team of TRUMPF Medical Systems as of October 1, 2010, in addition to his existing functions.

Dr. Kordt Griepenkerl has been the Managing Director of TRUMPF Medical Systems since 2006. He is now leaving the company after overseeing very positive further development in the Medical Technology Division. TRUMPF Medical Systems posted continuous sales growth over the last few years, making it into a solid mainstay of the TRUMPF Group.

TRUMPF is taking Griepenkerl’s departure to embed operational management of the Medical Technology Division directly within the Group Management Board, a move that reflects the enhanced status of this Division within the TRUMPF Group. The plan is to further expand TRUMPF Medical Systems in the future, primarily by focusing on extending the product portfolio, internationalizing its production and further increasing the scope of sales operations.

The Medical Technology Division of the TRUMPF Group closed fiscal 2010 on June 30, 2010, with some 150 million euros in revenues and a workforce of 565 employees. Subsidiaries are in the USA, France, Great Britain, Austria and China. Competence centres in Dubai, Shanghai and Singapore service the regional markets and offer customers consultation, demonstrations, training, advising and after sales service, all in one. TRUMPF Medical Systems is represented in more than 70 countries.
