Mississauga, Ontario, September 15 – LABORIE, a leading Canadian manufacturer of diagnostic and treatment devices for pelvic floor dysfunction, will introduce the next advancements for its well-received GOBY urodynamic testing system at MEDICA, the world’s largest annual medical trade fair, Nov. 16-19, in Düsseldorf, Germany. LABORIE designed GOBY and its air-charged catheter and wireless technologies to make a range of urodynamic tests simple, routine, and effective.
“The GOBY has enjoyed tremendous success since we introduced it to the US market last year. We’ve also had suggestions from our European clients in particular for further improvements to the system, which we will unveil at MEDICA,” says LABORIE’s Chairman, Ray Laborie. “Based on the feedback received, we have expanded the transducer selection capability to the GOBY platform.”
These advancements combined with GOBY's portability make it highly adaptable to specific clinical conditions as it relates to physiological measurements – without any major interface adjustments. That, in turn, means no factory re-calibration is needed for users to employ the new options.
“We have enhanced the GOBY system to meet the needs not just most clinicians, but of all them,” says LABORIE Chief Scientific Officer, Ing Goping. “By including optional water and electronic transducers, we’ve opened up the GOBY product line to a wider range of clinicians who are eager to incorporate its remarkable wireless technology, which is now compatible with their standard of care policies.”
In the same way, LABORIE continues to improve and enhance all its other offerings, long after their first introduction. For more detail on LABORIE’s complete line of products and partnership possibilities, please visit us at MEDICA 2011 in Hall 16 at booth G42.
