Karl Küfner KG is currently growing – and not just in terms of turnover. It is also investing in new employees and, in doing so, is laying the foundations for the planned growth of the company.
Mr Jörg Loucky started work as the new head of equipment design for Küfner on 1 July 2011. He brings ten years of experience in the construction of complex tools and machines for the injection moulding industry to the task at hand. In addition to this, Mr Loucky is also the administrator responsible for CAD systems at Küfner.
The family man and licensed amateur radio operator also has personal contacts worldwide and has a passion for riding his motorcycle along the Swabian Alps.
As the head of equipment design, Mr Loucky will be working closely with the neighbouring product development, toolmaking and mechanical engineering departments. This means that customer projects and products will be consistently put through their paces by the experienced Mr Loucky as well before prototype tools, series-produced tools and special machines for Küfner’s individual screens and filters are manufactured in-house.
It is with great gusto that the new head of equipment design is looking forward to his new assignment because he plans to improve workflow, which will in turn make it possible to undertake customer projects more efficiently. In the future it should be possible for his employees to have a greater level of involvement in projects and work more independently, meaning that he and his team can be more innovative and prepare the department for the challenges that the future will bring. The addition of one or two design engineers from the mechanical engineering department to his team is also part of this strategy. We wish Mr Loucky every success in his new role!
