With the software version 1.8 for the defibrillator- and patient monitoring system corpuls3 the company GS Elektromedizinische Geräte G. Stemple GmbH introduces also the new function smartMetronome.
The smartMetronome supports rescue workers at cardio-pulmonal resuscitation by indicating the optimal compression frequency and ventilation intervals so that the rescue team may focus completely on the resuscitation.
Due to the smartMetronome's different acoustic signals of for compression and ventilation, the intervals without therapy are minimised and the number of thorax compresssions during cardio-pulmonal resuscitation maximised.
Dr. Christian Klimmer, managing director of marketing & sales/finances explains: „The great advantage of smartMetronome in the corpuls3 is the automatic stop of the metronome in AED mode for analysing the heart rate and charging the defibrillator. The following immediate restart of the signals enables optimal therapy."
The smartMetronome is configurable in five different modes regarding compressions, frequency and duration of the ventilation interval for children and adults and complies with the ERC guidelines of 2010.
