Mente was officially launched in Italy on June 12, 2015 by the Italian Red Cross (CRI) - Rome and Consorzio Promosalute, Mente distributors for Italy. The launch took the form of a convention for more than 100 participants from the medical, educational and political spheres.
Entitled "Persone Autistiche – Una vita tra la gente" (People with Autism – A life among others) to focus on the CRI’s goals to promote inclusion, the event was held at the CRI Central Committee offices in Rome, Italy. Dott. "We’re here to improve the health and quality of life of those affected by serious conditions," he explained. "We have to and we want to have an increasingly strong and effective role in health management and in the social protection of all citizens, a role that is sanctioned and guided by our organization’s principles."
Chaired by Prof. Bruno Beomonte Zobel, who heads the radiology division of the Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico, the event covered various aspects of autism and its incidence and treatment in Italy through speakers such as Dott.
