Heidelberg-Dossenheim, November 04, 2013 | HMM 2013 again presents new and innovative products at the MEDICA – world forum for medicine in Düsseldorf. HMM’s focus is on the new products “smartLAB® walk” and “smartLAB® move”, the new “hFon® plus” and the free basic version of the motion - portal "fitmefit ".
The new pedometer smartLAB® walk and smartLAB® move follow the trend of miniaturization and linking to a SmartPhone. For both products two communication types are available: ANT and Bluetooth®. The ANT standard is internationally widely used in sports. Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (BLE) is alternatively available. For both communication standards HMM gateways offer to transfer the measured values automatically and without a phone to the fitmefit portal. There, data like the covered distance, calories and steps are archived and visualized.
smartLAB® walk P+
The smartLAB® walk P+ is an extremely flat and modern pedometer with a big and legible display. In addition to counting the steps, distance and calories burned are measured and displayed. The small device has an integrated ANT chip.
smartLAB® walk B
Just like the smartLAB walk P+, the walk B can count steps, distance and calories burned. Thanks to the integrated Bluetooth® Low Energy module, the collected data can now also be applied to smartphones and tablets with iOS and Android operating system.
The new smartLAB® move+ pedometer is a small round device with a diameter of only 27 mm (comparable to the 2 Euro coin). To reduce power consumption and size, the move + does not have a display. The built-in ANT technology allows automatically data transmission to different receivers and the fitmefit portal. The smartLAB®move+ is available in six different colors.
smartLAB® move B
The small smartLAB® move comes in a Bluetooth® version as well: "Move B". The smartLAB® move B uses built-in Bluetooth® low energy technology to connect to different Bluetooth® enabled iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. This pedometer is available in six trendy colors.
The successful movement fitmefit portal is now available in a free basic version with all the features one needs to keep up fit or get fit. The paid premium version includes in addition many interesting features like weight control and movement. . Both values are known to be the key to physical fitness and are automatically gathered by fitmefit. The portal supports both individuals and groups on their way to a healthy and active lifestyle. To use fitmefit, a free registration is required.
The new hFon ® plus telehealth touchscreen SmartPhone is designed for the hLine telemonitoring package and has a module slot where i.e. a blood glucose meter can be integrated. The SmartPhone measures not only vital parameters, but transmits the data wirelessly to any telemonitoring system. For an even faster and better wireless transmission, the Telehealth Smartphone hFon® plus comes with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and ANT-2. hFon® plus uses the Android 4 operating system. "Android 4 guarantees a very easy operation and can be optimally adapted to the hardware," says HMM Managing Director Maher Khoury. "Another advantage of Android is its compatibility with thousands of apps."
hFon® collect home
As a stationary solution for data collection and transmission, hFon® is intended. The “hFon® collect home” has a built-in ANT-2 chip. Vital data of i.e. pedometers can be sent wirelessly and without user interaction via the built-in GSM modem to a portal. For power supply the device is directly plugged into a mains outlet. Thanks to external antennas, the range is up to 30 meters.
