Intensive two-day course for new researchers, medical writers and editorsThursday and Friday - 11 and 12 October 2018, 09:00-17:00
Charlottenburger Innovations-Centrum, 10-12 Bismarckstrasse, 10625 Berlin, GermanyTarget audience
Academia: Those embarking on health-related research or postgraduate studies who are required to publish and present in English.
Industry: Medical writers and editors starting out in publishing, the pharma or medical device industry or the digital health community.
The nervous and undecided: Those considering a career in the world of medical communication (MedComms) or regulatory or device writing.Rationale
At a recent meeting, a senior medical affairs manager for a global pharmaceutical company was heard to complain that she spent half of her time correcting poorly written English, often produced by non-native speakers.
Scientific writing and editing, essential skills for health researchers or those working in the world of medical communications, can seem daunting for those starting their research journey, moving into academia or embarking on a career in industry, agencies or publishing. At the same time, the journey taken by a medicine or device from bench to bedside is a mystery for many. Newcomers may not appreciate the varied nature of the discipline they are entering, the associated rules and regulations and their important role within it.
This two-day session aims to provide an introduction, help develop core skills and support delegates with their career choices.Fee
Choose from one day course for €100, or two day for €175 (inc. UzS).
The fee includes slide copies, refreshments, a light lunch and a certificate of completion.
