On the occasion of the trade fair RETTmobil from May 11th to 13th in Fulda, Germany, the company GS Elektromedizinische Geräte G. Stemple GmbH will introduce the insurance card reader as another useful functionality for its defibrillator/patient monitoring system corpuls3.
The new additional functionality offers great advantages in the everyday routine of emergency medical services: Work flows can be optimized, documentation can be dealt with faster as well as billing issues. The insurance card reader saves a lot of time, as data entering errors due to complicated names or the like are now a thing of the past. Many experienced EMS employees can confirm this, as the predecessor of the corpuls3, the corpuls 08/16, is already equipped with an insurance card reader.
The individually pre-configured data, for example name, address, date of birth and insurance data relevant for billing purposes, appear quickly after inserting the card. The insurance card reader makes the EMS work considerably easier, in particular, if the patient is unconscious or cannot communicate. By means of the insurance card, these patient data can be entered quickly, efficiently and correctly.
All data can be printed out in the standardized DIVI format as often as needed with the corpuls3. Another advantage is that the insurance card reader is compatible with old German insurance cards as well as with the new ones. Of course, devices already in the field can be upgraded anytime with this new functionality by authorized sales and service partners.
