RFA ARGUS is the Primary Casualty Receiving Ship of the Naval Service.
Part of that equipment includes eight QA3 Variable Height Patient Trolleys for the Emergency Department. In addition, eight AET Tourniquets from Anetic Aid’s wide range of theatre equipment have been supplied for the Royal Navy’s Role 2 (Damage Control and Resuscitation) medical capabilities afloat and ashore. This demonstrates both the equipment’s functionality, but also its robust construction.
As well as her hospital duties, RFA ARGUS provides specialist aviation training facilities and she has a flexible design which enables her to fulfil additional roles including that of a logistic ship, as she can be adapted to transport large amounts of equipment quickly.
After specialist training for members of the ship’s company earlier this year, RFA ARGUS spent much of the summer on deployment to the UK’s British Overseas Territories and other islands providing humanitarian aid and disaster relief support during the Caribbean hurricane season.
