LENZKIRCH. In July 2007 the ground-breaking ceremony for the planned first phase of construction took place at ATMOS, now this has been completed.
For 1.5 million Euro a three-storey extension with an area of 1,500 sqm has been built at the east end of the factory premises. In order to meet environment standards a 250,000 Euro solar plant was installed on the roof. Solar energy is a regenerative energy and its use is promoted in many countries, like it is in Germany. ATMOS is following this forward-looking trend for infinite energy and is therefore avoiding pollution with the much discussed fine dust or the dangerous greenhouse gas emissions.
The shipping department will have its "new home" on the ground floor, the assembly department for the small suction devices will be on the first floor and the electronics assembly will be on the second floor. The requirements for better and more comfortable working conditions have been achieved for all departments. At ATMOS an increased workload must be dealt with, this is the basic requirement for continuous growth. Success is one of the corporate concepts.
When the first construction stage is completed, they will proceed with the second phase. Here another 1,000 sqm floor space, costing about 1 million Euro, will be developed. Therewith another 100 new jobs will be created.
