Diagnostic tests to detect enteric and respiratory pathogens

Coris BioConcept is a middle-sized company (SME) specialized in developing, manufacturing and marketing rapid diagnostic tests.
Since more than ten years, Coris has developed a broad range of antigen detection tests for enteric and respiratory diseases. These tests are based on rapid membrane chromatography with the use of colloidal gold particles and latex microspheres.

Recently, two new proprietary technologies were launched: Gravity Driven Test (GDT) or V-Test and Oligochromatography (OC). GDT device is a particular housing reversing to sense of the chromatography and allowing to by-pass the use of dilution buffer. It is particularly suitable for urine testing. OC allows fast detection of amplified DNA using only a water bath and was already applied to the detection of neglected infectious disease pathogens.

Coris research & development department is engaged in several projects for a budget close to 2,700,000 € for 4 years. The research laboratory is equipped for molecular biology and immuno-assays developments. Coris was partner in six European FP6 projects and is currently partner in two FP7 research programs.

At present, 24 persons work in the company. Coris BioConcept is growing fast. Started in 1997 at 46.000€ with three products, the turn over reached more than 2.300.000€ in 2010 with 22 products available in different formats ranging from dipstick to cassettes and with different technologies from immunoassays to RT-PCR and RT-qPCR.

All the products are developed and produced in Coris facilities. We also provide services for custom tests development and contract manufacturing.

Coris BioConcept is present in 80 countries in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Oceania.

We are also engaged in a Total Quality Assurance program ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 with all products CE marked.
