Measuring Module ACE-DXmed for an integrated measuring of O2 und CO2

The O2/CO2 module ACE-DXmed consists of the approved oxygen sensor ACE-Xmed® and of an ultrasonic sensor to measure carbon dioxide. The oxygen concentration is detected electrochemically by a heated solid state electrolyte (zirconium) whereas the ultrasonic sensor determines the molar mass of the breath. On this basis the carbon dioxide concentration is calculated precisely and reliably. The integrated, electronically controlled and adjustable pump provides a constant exhaustion. Influences of pressure, temperature and humidity are eliminated reliably. The system is simply calibrated with ambient air.

The underlying technological platform of the ACEOS sensor is an amperometric solid state electrolyte sensor, requiring no reference chamber and a working temperature of 600°C. The chosen technical design and manufacturing process allow a high level of miniaturization of the components. This causes ist low inertia and ultra-fast response time. The use of high-grade ceramics and precious metal pastes guarantees a long service life.
