MicroE Systems - Compact, Accurate Linear & Rotary Encoders

MicroE Systems manufactures a wide range of linear and rotary encoders for motion control feedback.

MicroE Systems, a division of GSI Group, was founded in 1994 to advance encoder technology. Anticipating the trend toward smaller motion systems, our patented optical designs have led to over 30 different encoder models today. These innovations make encoders that achieve higher accuracy and speed while also being smaller, easier to install, and use less power. That’s why many OEM’s in the medical and life science industries are putting our encoders in their designs.

Medical applications particularly benefit from available surface-mount encoders that are as small as 7mm x 11mm, screw-mount sensors with up to 1.2nm resolution, rotary models using scales as small as 12mm in diameter, and models that are immune to magnetic fields. Output resolutions range from 5 microns to 1.2 nanometers (linear) and 3,000 to 268M Counts per Revolution (rotary). Speeds can be up to 20m/s and 26,000RPM.
