Medical Interconnect announces the SureConnect™ implantable connector, for connection of multiple leads with high conductor counts. The SureConnect™ mates multiple leads with ring or end pin contacts of 8 ,16,,-- 40, or more conductors to an implanted medical device with a single latching motion. SureConnect™ is expected to enable cardiac and neuromodulation systems wide latitude in connecting stimulation or sensing leads to an implanted control device, or Implanted Pulse Generator(IPG). The SureConnect™ incorporates a novel contact mating technology giving miniature size yet maintaining large mating surface area. The device has extremely low lead insertion forces yet high retention forces. The device also incorporates a novel active seal system compatible with the easy insertions when relaxed; but an ultra secure fluid barrier when closed.
