The SONOCHECK air-bubble detectors of type ABD06 detect air and gas bubbles in fluid-filled tubes and measurement chambers. These intelligent sensors can be used for the monitoring of fluids as well as for wet/dry alarm notifications. The ABD06 has been specifically developed for industrial use. The contactless detection process allows the sensor to be used for applications that require hygienic and contamination-free conditions. The tube is simply inserted into the sensor and this enables a quick and uncomplicated changeover. The sensor automatically adapts to dynamically changing acoustic conditions. This guarantees a high degree of measurement stability despite fluctuations in the surrounding environment. The SONOCHECK sensors have a user-specific programmable micro-controller with extendible functionalities, such as e.g. response time. The air-bubble detectors can be adapted for individual tube sizes and other specifications, such as power supply, materials characteristics and signal output. In addition to our standard sensors, we can also manufacture customer-specific bespoke solutions. Applications - Pipette and filling systems - Mixing, dispensing and metering systems - Painting systems - Surface refinement systems - Fat dosing - Adhering processes

The intelligent air bubble detectors of type ABD05.xx represent a new generation of the SONOCHECK series. The sensors which are applied for the detection of air and gas bubbles in liquid filled tubes or metering boxes have been adapted to the medical technology sector.
The compact construction of the ABD05.xx is a primary requirement for applications with strict hygienic standards. Hence, our sensors are very appropriate for the use in the field of dialysis, blood- and nutrient transfusions or injections. The optimized safety concept serves for increased reliability and maximal patient safety. The air bubble sensors can also be applied as an empty/full detector. By triggering an alarm in case of a failure they guarantee a safe operation of the device.
The ABD05.xx has a customised programmable microcontroller, so that extendable functionalities such as fail-safe-function can be integrated. Hence, customized demands regarding safety and reliability can be met. Furthermore, the patent registered method allows an adoption to individual tube sizes as well as other specifications such as different voltages, switching outputs or materials.
The sensors developed by SONOTEC have no contact with the fluid. The flexible tube is pressed into the sensor clamp and it does not need a usually required coupling medium. The procedure is independent of the fluid colour. Even bubbles of a very small size can be detected quickly and reliably.
Transducers
Ultrasonic transducers are used in many branches of industry for non-destructive testing (NDT) of materials. Among other applications, they are used for the precise location of objects and the safe and reliable detection and assessment of defects.
The quality of an ultrasonic probe is largely in its invisible properties, such as nominal frequency, bandwidth and oscillator diameter. The stability of these parameters over a long period is a sign of the reliability of the ultrasonic transducer. In order to receive identical echo signals from the same reflector using several probes of the same type, the technical dimensions must be realised within very fine tolerances. The defined values are therefore determined using special measuring processes and systems.
The acoustic parameters are supplemented by application-specific properties, such as temperature, pressure and resistance to environment. Furthermore, our probes also stand out due to their modern design and excellent ergonomics.
With more than 20 years experience in the development and manufacture of ultrasonic transducers, we can guarantee a high degree of reproducibility. In order to guarantee lasting high-quality, each manufactured transducer undergoes a strict quality control process in order to test whether the measurement values attained by the probe lie within our predefined tolerance limits. Only those products that satisfy our strict quality standards are approved for sale.
Depending on intended application, we develop and manufacture customer-specific solutions using the following products:
- Phased-array probes - Multi-element transducers - Piezo-composite transducers - Focus transducers - Ultrasonic transducers for the measurement of flow rates and fill levels - Probes for non-destructive testing (NDT)
Flow-control and flowmeters
SONOFLOW CO.55 is designed to efficiently monitor the flow rate of fluids in flexible tubes.
The design of the clamp-on sensor makes it particularly suited to applications in which strict hygiene requirements are to be observed. The tube is simply inserted into the sensor. So it enables a quick and uncomplicated changeover.
The SONOFLOW CO.55 is intended as a component for integration into devices, machines and other pieces of equipment. It can be easily incorporated electronically into the controls of the equipment. The sensor has configurable power and impulse output. The service interface enables simple parameterization, calibration and presentation of measurement values. The procedure is adaptable to differing tube dimensions and other specifications, such as power supply, materials characteristics and signal output.

SONOFLOW IL.52 for precise measurement of low volume flow rates in thin pipes and tubes.
The precise ultrasonic flow sensor SONOFLOW IL.52 detects smallest flow rates of liquids quickly, using bidirectional measurement. Due to its construction and its resistance to temperature the sensor is particularly suitable for applications in fi elds with strict hygienic standards. An additional benefit is, that the sensor is wear- and maintenancefree.
The SONOFLOW IL.52 is constructed as a built-in component for machines and apparatus.
The mechanical installation and electrical integration into the control system can be carried out easily. The sensor has two current outputs or pulse outputs respectively. The service interface allows an easy parameterization, calibration and readout of measuring values.
In addition to our standard products, we can also manufacture customer-specific bespoke solutions.
