About us

SONOTEC was founded in 1991 by two Halle-based physicists, Dr. Santer zur Horst-Meyer and Hans-Joachim Münch. With currently around 80 employees, today we are a growing technology company established on the market as a provider of specific solutions using ultrasonic measurement technologies. We produce our entire range of self-developed ultrasonic technologies in our own workshops and laboratories.

With a strong research and development department and flexible manufacture, all under one roof, we are your ideal partner for customer-specific solutions. Together with you, our client, we initially analyse your exact measurement and metering requirements and assist you in developing a product to meet these requirements, from the initial concept stage to prototype and serial production. The short distances between our various departments guarantee a smooth and reliable transition from development to serial production without any loss of knowledge.

Our scientists are continuously researching and developing new methods and technologies in the field of ultrasonic measurement. The resulting progression in the areas of e.g. phased-array probes or composite transducers enables us to offer you the optimum OEM solution. The substantial know-how of our specialists and the many years of experience of our sales engineers ensure that our OEM components can be easily integrated into your systems.
