Iwate Industry Promotion Center is the supporting organization of small-and-medium-sized businesses in Iwate, Japan. At the COMPAMED2011, we participate as a supporting organization of the development and commercialization of Iwate-original advanced cobalt-based alloy. This alloy shows excellent biocompatibility, high ductility, workability, and corrosion-wear resistance. We exhibit various materials made of the alloy, such as tubes for stent or wire rod(0.019 mm diameter), and some trial pieces made with Electron Beam Melting (rapid prototyping fabrication technique).
