Wireless Power and Data Transmission

RRC power solutions GmbH of Homburg / Saar, Germany has researched and developed a power supply system for wireless non contact power transmission that eliminates cables and connectors. It is an inductive power system, consisting of a transmitter and a receiver unit, which can transmit power and data in the near field with an efficiency of over 92% that is comparable with a wired system. At present power can be transmitted up to 500 watts. During the development phase, engineers made sure that the design would be universally applicable, depending on user needs. Therefore it is possible to integrate RRC's wireless energy and data transmission technology into various medical applications such as defibrillators, instruments, patient monitoring systems, medical power tools, implants for cardiac support, etc.. Earlier this year, this technology was awarded with the innovation award of the German economy.

To get acquainted with wireless power transmission technology, RRC power solutions has developed an evaluation kit. This kit can be used as a plug-and-play demonstrator, as well as a developer tool for installation in existing application environments.
