About Us

It is our mission to serve the research community with high quality research products focussing especially on antibodies. In the recent years an increasing number of related products was added: Corresponding proteins, peptides, control lysates, ELISA kits and many other accessory products complete our portfolio. Today we operate one of the largest online research antibody platforms all over the world with close to 50,000 own research products and 150,000 distributed products available on our website - www.acris-antibodies.com. The Acris Antibodies products are sold worldwide via a network of dedicated distributors. In Herford, Germany, fifteen colleagues take care of purchasing, logistics, product support and marketing.

Milestones

Acris Antibodies GmbH was founded 1998 in Hiddenhausen, Germany, as a spinoff of DPC Biermann GmbH - a subsidiary of Diagnostic Products Corporation (DPC), Los Angeles. From the very beginning we focused on research antibodies.

The first Antibody Catalog was released 1999 and the number of antibodies increased from several hundreds to more than 16,000 in 2003. In the beginning Acris Antibodies served the German market as a distributor for US and UK based manufacturers, but later more and more antibodies with the Acris Antibodies label were sold to customers worldwide.

In September 2003 we moved into new offices in Herford and during the following years Acris Antibodies developed to a leading antibody supplier in Germany. Subsequently, more own products were added and new distribution contracts were concluded with important antibody manufactures.

Acris Antibodies products are sold worldwide via a network of dedicated distributors. This network was topped off by setting up an own US subsidiary in February 2011.
