Infection control built into Anetic Aid's quality Stainless Steel Furniture
15/11/2011Anetic Aid Ltd.
Whether it is transfusion stands, surgeon’s stools, instrument trolleys or bowl stands,Anetic Aid’s range of quality stainless steel furniture is designed and built using the latest material and engineering techniques to maximise infection control.
Our stainless steel products are both mechanically polished and electropolished, removing crests and valleys invisible to the naked eye and producing an even smoother surface – which means it is less likely that any matter such as dirt or bacteria will adhere to the surface of the steel. Studies have proved that electropolishing in particular, reduces the likelihood of bio films forming on wet steel surfaces and therefore reduces the incidence of cross contamination.
On our transfusion stands and stool bases we use a low-friction Teflon® coating – a non-stick material which helps to reduce the incidence of corrosion and keep surfaces clean.
Surgeon’s stools are also foot-operated, which means they can be adjusted without compromising the sterile field.
Even our castors are made with high strength plastic-bodies so that they do not suffer corrosion like traditional steel bodied models and are quick and simple to replace if damaged.
All this is backed by our in-house quality control procedure, which documents the individual inspection of every item and guarantees it for five years against any defects in materials or workmanship.
