There are situations in life where a strong electric shock can save human lives. Patients with myocarditis are at risk of at first losing consciousness due to ventricular fibrillation and then, without prompt treatment also possibly losing their lives. Defibrillators might be able to prevent worse things from happening. There are indeed a growing number of public places that have them, but most first responders are afraid of using them, despite extensive application instructions and almost complete automation. A discreet vest could make the life of patients who are at risk somewhat more carefree in the future.
