The World Forum for Medicine, the MEDICA in Dusseldorf, counts over 4300 Exhibitors from 60 nations, a record participation. Innovations from the medical sector and medical research are presented. Although the financial crisis has weakened many markets, the medical industry remains stable, also due to domestic business which has be able to hold almost the same level. In 2009 a total sales decline of 2% is expected, domestic business on the other hand is expected to grow by 2%. The most important economic engine at the MEDICA are the innovations.
