Optic nerve sonography enables monitoring of changes

Approximately 15% of all people suffer from some type of nerve damage at one point in their lives - the cause is very often unknown.
Hope lies in the so called nerve sonography. With a high-resolution ultrasound machine not only the nerve, but also surrounding structures can be accurately shown. Nerve tumors, nerve inflammation, nerve injury or nerve compression can be detected clearly and therefore be treated correctly. The Hamburger neurologist Dr. Henrich Kele is already using the procedure - with great success.
