News: improved performance range for the vario photometer
Diaglobal GmbH is represented again this year at the Medica (in hall 13/B12). Small-sized photometers and agents for the POCT area will be the major points of emphasis.
The successful vario-photometer, a mobile small device which can be transported in a practical case with its entire accessories and operates off the line is the focal point of our presentation. Especially for sports medicine and preventive medicine this device has proven its worth, however it can be used in wards and in accident and emergency departments and is also practical for use by registered doctors with their own surgery (practical and portable for home visits) and also for chemists.
The performance range had included 8 parameters to date
- lactate – glucose – haemoglobin – erythrocytes – haematocrit – cholesterol – triglycerides - alcohol
which can be determined directly from capillary blood.
This spectrum has now been furthered. By using a portable micro centrifuge which also fits into the vario photometer case, it is now also possible to establish
- urea
- total protein
- HDL cholesterol and
- neonatal bilirubin
directly from capillary blood.
These tests will be demonstrated practically at the Medica. Anyone who is interested can have their blood count measured daily at our stand. (For further details, please refer to the relevant pages).
