Accelerates CAGE Analysis on a Single Molecule Sequence

[02/02/2012] Researchers at the RIKEN Omics Science Center have developed a robotic workflow for sample preparation on a single molecule sequencer which reduces sample preparation time to from 42 days to only 8 days. The workflow uses Cap Analysis of Gene Expression (CAGE), a unique method developed at the OSC for determining transcriptional starting sites in the genome and their expression levels.
