Welch Allyn® Announces New Partnership with Sensitron, Inc. in EMEA

DUSSELDORF, GERMANY – November 14, 2007-- Welch Allyn, a leading global manufacturer of Vital Signs Monitoring and Spot Checking solutions, announced today that it had formed a new partnership with Sensitron Inc., a leader in wireless patient monitoring, and its exclusive distributors in Europe, U.K. and the Middle East.
This agreement will provide a solution for ensuring that key Vital Signs data are captured with Sensitron’s careTrends® and automatically sent to a dedicated server and to an electronic medical record (EMR) when available. This solution helps to reduce transcription errors as well as time lag between the capture and posting of data.. By providing nurses and clinicians with this technology, an enhanced standard of clinical care is achieved, as well as delivering both time and budget savings.
This partnership will help clinicians meet their qualitative and quantitative objectives--giving them the right information at the right time, and reducing medical errors. Together, Welch Allyn and Sensitron will ensure that data captured from the vital signs equipment will be free of transcription errors.
Welch Allyn’s extensive range of traditional Vital Signs Monitors and Spot checkers can either be wirelessly-enabled or hard-wired by Sensitron’s careTrends®.
