Mentor, Ohio (14 July, 2006) - STERIS Corporation today announced the launch of the Hamo Vision Multi-Chamber Washer/Disinfector. The Hamo Vision provides a total solution delivering higher value and performance in a smaller footprint, which exceeds the latest European and Global standards for washing/disinfecting.
Developed as a result of feedback from health professionals in Sterile Services Departments worldwide, the introduction of the Hamo Vision places STERIS at the forefront of washer/disinfector design and offers a further option to STERIS’s customers.
The Hamo Vision offers not only productivity, reliability and quality, but is also part of the STERIS ‘total solution’. The Hamo Vision uses 37% less water and is 43% smaller than any other Multi-Chamber washer/disinfector. Additionally where high throughput is vital, the Hamo Vision offers a cycle of less than 12 minutes producing 50 DIN trays per hour, which is more DIN trays per hour than most 15 DIN machines.
The use of independent chambers can improve throughput by processing multiple cycles simultaneously and with the high capacity drying chamber, is twice as effective as a single chamber unit. The system also offers numerous ways to maximise space, increase throughput and reduce operating costs. The Synergy® Single-Chamber Washer/Disinfector can be integrated into a full departmental layout with the Vision Multi-Chamber Washer/Disinfector, with the Hamo SCS Conveyor System configuring to fit any space restrictions.
Lee Tolhurst, European Marketing Manager of STERIS Corporation said: “We are delighted with the arrival of the Hamo Vision multi-chamber washer disinfector, which has continued to surpass all of our customers and internal expectations during our extensive testing phases. I am sure that its technical advancements will prove of huge value to our customers.”
STERIS is committed to helping healthcare professionals implement highly effective, environmentally friendly washer/disinfector systems that optimise productivity, reliability and safety.
