Retinol Binding Protein 4 as Riskmarker for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

The Retinol Binding Protein 4 (RBP4) becomes a higher importance to research the causes of human Diabetes mellitus in succession of overweight and malnutrition.
RBP4 is an of adipocellular released protein and becomes important by the insulin resistance.
In healthy humans with Insulin stimulated cells the glucose transporter protein
GLUT-4 will be insettet in the cell membrane.
This mechanism is among other things disturbed and in the muscle- and adipose tissue the GLUT-4 is down regulated.
Causal is the RBP4, produced in outsize quantities in adipose tissue of overweight people. This apparently results that the muscle- and livercells only reacts marginal
to the bloodsugar regulating Insulin.
