Prominent speakers, innovative products, exciting events - all this attracted at MEDICA 2015 over 2,000 visitors to the area of MEDICA HEALTH IT FORUM (MHIF) in Hall 15, traditionally opened by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Health, Equalities, Care and Ageing of the State North Rhine-Westphalia, Martina Hoffmann-Badache, attended the HITF with more than 170 speakers in 50 sessions in two stages and events in the lounge for high-class information about new trends in the Health IT industry.

For this purpose there was to see who jointly presented a clear cross-section of current technological developments delivered on its own exhibition space for new solutions from research, start-up scene and industry.

For the first time the federal government was represented on our stage: Federal Research Minister Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka presented on the HITF the pioneering support framework medical computer science before that IT solutions should launch for better data consolidation and analysis. She said: "For us it is all about that medically relevant data will be used for the benefit of the patient. When these data are systematically analyzed, from more accurate diagnoses and improved treatments can be derived. " The Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Economy and Energy, Brigitte Zypries, made an appearance. They opened the second eHealth Venture Summit on the HITF and underlined in her keynote the innovativeness of the start-up scene.
The latter also made one of our thematic priorities: Alone 8 of exhibitors of HITF were startups sessions revolved around the new impulses of young companies and there was plus to see some pitches. For example, personnel MedSystems GmbH, who presented a world first with the first mobile 22-channel ECG system called CardioSecur and such Patientus and other promising start-ups again found also in our exhibition.

In 2015 the stage program was divided into events at the Red Stage and the Green Stage:

On the Red Stage came makers, opinion leaders and experts together to discuss on an interdisciplinary level new technological development paths and trends, in particular the necessary political and legal framework. But also for special topics was square, about a telemedicine project of the Telekom for Refugees or the use of avatars in pediatrics.

On the Green Stage, science and industry primarily presented innovative and practical ideas and products.

In addition, there also hve been special events and exclusive eyecatcher on our surface. For example, a special exhibition on the subject of Serious Games: The visitors were about a Oculus Rift (virtual reality system) go on a journey into the human body; or relax in the lounge in the series inform "thinking about technology" about new ways in art philosophy and acceptance research. Even events such as the already mentioned "eHealth Venture Summit" or the "Medical Devices meet IT - Integration Challenge 2015" lured with exciting competition entries and fresh ideas.
