Belgian company MedicCleanAir (Antwerp) has been appointed by the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as main supplier in the fight against the deadly MERS / CORONA VIRUS. MedicCleanAir air purification and isolation devices are being used to isolate infected patients and to clean the air from fungi, bacteria and viruses, including MERS / CORONA virus. The last 5 years were highlighted by intense cooperation with the Ministry of Health; exchanging knowledge, education to infection control departments in all areas of the Kingdom, visits to critical areas, testing procedures, and other forms of collaboration.
MedicCleanAir was able, also through world-wide published medical/clinical studies, to prove that their devices are far more efficient than any other similar product in the world.
A first order of 9 million SAR (about euro 2.4 million) was granted in order to resist the first wave of infected patients that mainly occur during HAJJ that will take place this year in September.
MedicCleanAir has been active in the Middle East Region since 2005 and is member of Flanders Investment & Trade, the Medical Technology Club of Agoria, the VOKA – Business Clubs International, the Arab Chamber of Commerce and Healthcare Belgium. Due to intense international connections, MedicCleanAir is now the main player in the field of infection control for hospital facilities in almost all Middle East countries.
