Telemedicine only for self-study?

Dear Sir or Madam,

Physicians regularly take part in courses for further education. But concepts such as "telemedicine", "telematics" and "e-health" determine just a small part of further education courses today. The little tech-savvy and skeptical medical community shuns these ways of digital communication. Thus, there is little demand for further developments of IT supported systems. Is "telemedicine" only for self-study? Read more about this in our article eHealth: just for self-taught learners?.

Have fun reading,

Human genetics is the study of the genetic makeup of human beings. DNA, chromosomes, and genes are extensively analyzed by medical specialists. Physicians of Germany need to have a qualification in genetic counseling to successfully advise patients. Until now, this was possible by participating in an online knowledge assessment. Starting mid-year, this regulation expires and 72 hours of classroom instruction need to be completed for credit. Enjoy reading!
