Thought Technology Ltd. announces the appointment of Mr. Jean Sylvain Labbé as their new CEO. He has been assuming responsibilities since September 2, 2015 and is succeeding Dr. Hal Myers, who has moved up to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Innovation Officer (CIO).
Dr. Myers announced: “Jean Sylvain has been involved with our team since November 2014. During that time he has been leading our strategic planning initiatives while playing an important part in the company’s ongoing restructuring.
As Board members, Lawrence Klein and I will continue to guide new strategic initiatives, leaving the management of the business to our new CEO. It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Jean Sylvain to this position. We are confident in his abilities and are excited for the future of the company.”
Mr. Sylvain stated: “I’m incredibly proud of what we've accomplished at Thought Technology over the past year. I am thrilled to work with the Board and our talented team to take the company to the next level”.
Prior to his appointment at Thought Technology, Jean Sylvain was a business advisor in merger, acquisitions, strategic planning and business restructuring with diverse organizations. From 1999 to 2006, he also served as a Private Equity and Portfolio Manager at CDP Capital (Canada’s leading pension fund manager). He is a graduate from l’École des sciences de la gestion (UQAM) and currently resides in Montreal with his wife.
